# Using Pet Care day to day

_How to record visits, attach files and follow each pet's health history._

>
> Record each visit right away: the pet's history becomes **proof for the owner** and a reference for the team next visit. Attach photos and documents for a complete chart.

Once configured, [Pet Care](/en/configuracao/pet-care/o-que-e-pet-care/) is used from the **customer record**. Open a customer, go to the **Pet Care** tab and select the pet: that's where the **Pet Care history** with all of that animal's visits lives.

## Filter the history

Visits are organized by **type** — Application, Media, Anamnesis, Exam, Prescription, Pathology, Terms, Weighing and Generic — and each tab shows the **count** of records. You can also filter by **period** and sort by **most recent**.

## New record

Click **+ New record** and choose the type of visit you want to log. For documents (Prescription, Exam, Anamnesis…), you start from a [template](/en/configuracao/pet-care/modelos-de-documentos/) and the content comes pre-filled with the pet's and owner's data. For [Application](/en/operacao/pet-care/aplicacoes-e-vacinas/), you record the vaccine and doses. For **Media**, you attach photos, videos or documents.

## Print and gallery

Documents can be **printed** with the clinic's [header and footer](/en/configuracao/pet-care/cabecalho-e-rodape/). Attached photos and videos also appear in the **Gallery** tab of the customer record, organized by the [file categories](/en/configuracao/pet-care/categoria-de-arquivos/) you set up.

## Visits from an appointment

A Pet Care record can also be created **from an [appointment](/en/operacao/agenda/criar-um-agendamento/)** on the [Calendar](/en/operacao/agenda/entender-a-agenda/), staying linked to that visit. That way the pet's health history follows the services performed.
